BRUCE'S FINGERS... forthcoming releases

Here's what's in the pipeline at BF headquarters at the moment. If you have a particular interest in anything listed below, then feel free to e-mail for the latest info. Or even to place an advance order!

List A: material which is in the process of being mastered/manufactured etc, and which is due to be released soon(ish).

...list currently empty...

List B: material which is recorded, mastered and ready to go, and which we hope to release (or hope another label will release) some time in the future. But it might be a long wait!
[If you're reading this list on behalf of an adventurous record label, please e-mail if you might be interested in putting something out....]

KARL TOROK/SIMON H. FELL - Ineluctable Modality
an audio-visual work on DVD; visuals by Karl Torok (Ineluctable Modality), with music by Simon Fell (Composition No. 63: Ulysses)

SIMON H. FELL - The Exploding Flask Of Muesli
A compilation of electroacoustic and electronic pieces from the period 1994-2002

SIMON H. FELL - Frank & Max
Simon Fell's first solo bass album for over 10 years. Many things have changed in the interim...

IST - Berlin
Ist's performance from the 2001 Total Music Meeting - another crucial document of this key group....

BADLAND - Six High Windows
Badland's 2005 Liverpool gig - an exceptional performance in an idiosyncratic church acoustic

List C: material which is in preparation/mixing/mastering as we speak, and should become available in the longer term. Well, we hope so...

There are some 1998 Hession/Wilkinson/Fell studio recordings, from London & Leeds, hovering around under the provisional title Zorba The Mastiff. We were originally working on these for Shock, but when Shock stopped putting records out the album stalled at the mixing stage. One day the threads will be picked up on this one! There's also a recording from 2001's Freedom Of The City festival which could play a part in this plan too...

The Mancini Project is a quartet developed from Simon Fell's composition Views Of Mancini; participants are Pat Thomas (pno), Steve Noble (turntables), Simon Fell (bass & CD player), Han Bennink (drums). Their first recording includes the Views Of Mancini arrangements of Days Of Wine And Roses, Charade, Moon River, Peter Gunn, The Pink Panther, Experiment In Terror and A Shot In The Dark, along with quartet improvisations.

please note:

situations sometimes change quickly, so don't take any of the above info as immutable fact! And apologies to any projects we've forgotten to list......
